Samuel J. Alioto, President and CEO
Samuel J. Alioto spent twenty (20) years in pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare products and medical device sales/marketing management at several divisions of American Cyanamid Company (ACCO) including Lederle Pharmaceuticals, Lederle Consumer Health, Lederle International and Storz Ophthalmics. Early at Lederle, he had a successful pharmaceutical sales/sales management track record. Moving on to marketing management, he participated in the introduction and managed CENTRUM®, multivitamin multimineral, and CENTRUM Jr., children's multivitamin multimineral and launched both CALTRATE®, calcium supplement, and FIBERCON®, fiber laxative, brands.
In 1989, Mr. Alioto originated and developed OCUVITE®, the first major antioxidant vitamin mineral product for age related macular degeneration patients. OCUVITE created a new segment, i.e., vision care supplements, in the vitamin category and is one of the major supplement success stories of the past 20 years. OCUVITE is now a Bausch & Lomb brand franchise that includes
a multi-product offering with annual sales in the tens of millions of
dollars. In 1995, Mr. Alioto founded MediNiche, Inc. and continues to have primary responsibility for all company operations and new product development.
Mr. Alioto is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and has received Executive Management Seminar Certificates from Columbia, Dartmouth (Tuck School), and the University of Virginia (Darden School).
